At Stannington we have four school houses, each named after a local castle.
Children can earn house points for many reasons including good work, excellent behaviour, kindness to others and attitude to learning. Throughout the year there are also a range of events in which the houses compete. These include sporting tournaments and other challenges.
Each house is led by House Captains and deputies from Year 4. These children are in charge of organising events like assemblies, sporting events and responsible for counting house points.
The house which has collected the most points for the half term is awarded the House Point Trophy. Children in each class who have earned the most house points are also celebrated with certificates.
