Fun at Stannington!

This week has been the best! We have been doing all sorts of fun things.

Firstly, on Monday, we painted pictures of our mums. Zumba was great and fun!

On Tuesday a special visitor came to our school…It was a baby lamb. The lamb didn’t have a name.

Wednesday was our favourite day because it was gymnastics. We got to do flips on the pole bar and it was fun! Bobby was really scared but he still had a go!

This Thursday we played tennis with Sam. We had lots of mini games. My team lost but we still enjoyed the games. We also created Mother’s Day acrostic poems to read out in church on Friday.

Topic work

This week we have been working very hard! We have been making dinosaur eggs, fossils, flicker books, filming animations and drawing fossil pictures using charcoal.

Dinosaur homes!

Today we have been building shelters for our dinosaurs. We worked as a team to build our shelters. We then went around the class looking at other group’s shelters and asked questions about them.

Dino posters

In Literacy we have been looking at Information texts. We researched dinosaurs by looking for information on the internet and in books. We made a poster and then presented it to the whole class.

Pets in school day!

To end our animal topic the pupils would like to show their pets to their classmates.
If your child would like to bring their pet into school on Tuesday 27th March then could you please inform Mr Tunesi by Monday 26th March.
All pets should be accompanied by parents.
