Children’s Cancer Run – Sunday 17th May 2015

We will once again be attending the Children’s Cancer Run at Newcastle Race Course this year on Sunday the 17th May 2015.

The Children’s Cancer Run is a 5-mile cross country family fun run set up to raise money for the North of England Children’s Cancer Research Fund (NECCR), and is sponsored by Greggs.

We always have a great day come rain or shine, with lots of entertainment, as well as medals, a free t-shirt and Greggs picnics for all participants

You can sign up to run with the school by clicking on the link below:

Congratulations to our Orienteering Team – Sam, Lewis, Matty G, Connal, Mia and Emma who won the ‘Best Participation’ award Wallington Orienteering Finals today.  Lewis Henry and Matthew Glennie came joint second in the Northumberland County Final and second in the Morpeth Partnership.  Not only that – Mr D and Mrs H said that the children were all a pleasure to have a Wallington – so I think I can be extremely proud of all of Owls and the Year 2 children who participated!  Well done everyone!

Physical Development

In Nursery and Reception we have been using the large apparatus to help us with our Physical Development. We have been travelling around, over, under and through the balancing equipment. The children have also been working on their throwing and catching skills.

Scooter training KS1

This month the children had the opportunity to practice their scooter handling skills. They learned how to stay safe and they all had a great time zooming in and out of cones!
