Just before the half term, EYFS were learning about a lot of different nursery rhymes. The children’s favourite seemed to be, ‘Miss Polly had a dolly’. The children loved getting all the doctors and nurses outfits out and enjoyed bandaging each other up! They especially enjoyed making Miss Downie all better.
This half term, EYFS have been learning all about Nursery Rhymes. We made some broth to go with the nursery rhyme ‘There was an old women who lived in a shoe’. We made our own spiders out of sault dough to go with the nursery rhyme ‘Incy Wincy Spider’. We have also made clocks to go with the nursery rhyme ‘Hickory Dickory Dock’.
This afternoon, the children in the Early Years Foundation Stage Unit performed their Christmas Sing-a-Long for their mummies and daddies – what a wonderful performance it was! The children had learnt Christmas songs and Carols, including ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’ (all the verses) and many, many more; well done to all the children and staff, you are all stars!
